Demetria- Thank you for quoting my blog! I agree with you 100% when you say we are free to observe or not observe the Biblical appointed days, and that the Body should not be divided over such matters. Jesus accepts all--Jew and Gentile, observant and non-observant--who call on Him in faith.

I especially liked that you said, "So, then, we are free to place ourselves, as Believers, under the ordinances created by God to the Hebrews, which point to Christ, so long as we understand the purpose for which we are operating in the feasts, festivals, and commandments."

That's it exactly...as long as we understand the purpose. I think a lot of believers don't get that.

Blanca, thank you for sharing this. It is during these difficult times where our Lord holds us close (He said He would stick closer than a brother, and be the lover of our souls).
Continue praying for your husband, in faith, expecting the best outcome for him. Stay encouraged, Sis. The Lord is by your side and will never leave you alone during this time-- also, He is working on your husband's heart and mind as you continue to be faithful to him and keep him uplifted...

This was a great interview! I am gonna listen to it again & meditate on the scriptures that were given.

QUESTION

Scriptures state do not weary for doing good (Gal 6:9 & 2 Thess 3:13).

Another scripture states if a brother offends (Matt 18) and does not repent treat him like a heathen.

What happens when two believers are married & only one is (endeavoring) to follow Christ?

I love my husband, and when we got married 3 yrs ago we were best friends, transparent & honest with each other. 6 mos. after the marriage, he went to war and I continued to sow love believing we were growing together, looking back it seems the 15 months he was there changed him...it was his fourth tour. However, he has been home for almost 2 years and the unity we once shared has no foundation (communication, love, respect).

Lately, I have been losing heart in this "covenant", it feels more like a fraudulent contract because Christ is not at the head.

2 Cor 6:14 states Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?

What partnership has righteousness with lawlessness...???there is no such thing. No partnership, no unity, no agreement.

We have 4 children, with only the youngest living at home (age 5-from a previous relationship).

After helping an adulterous woman repent, Jesus stated, “I am the light of the world; he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

So I seek Christ independently & am comforted & sustained by washing myself in the water of the Word, but I recognize the enemy at work in my spouse.

Matthew 10:16 comes to mind, “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.

I realize that Christ was not the Head of my husband when we were engaged or married. My husband is saved, but not surrendered or baptized in the Holy Spirit.

I am going to keep this in prayer. Thank you for listening.

Beth, you are so encouraging, and yes I definitely remember our connection! If I recall correctly we have even conversed by phone a time or two...
I have been checking out your site! (I bookmarked it in Delicious a few months back) and finally came back to it this afternoon...it is WONDERFUL! I really like how you have incorporated YouTube into your ministry-- gives me a little extra boost in that direction as well.

Yes, you are very right about the Messianic passover pointing to Jesus. I dont understand why I haven't truly discovered this awesomeness of our roots through the olive tree until now.
I will be catching up with you on BethJones.net!
